There is nothing quite like this novel with its rage and ragings, its discontent and angry restlessness. Wuthering Heights is a virgin's story.

About This Quote

When we talk about a book we talk about the plot, the story and the characters. But, when we talk about a book we usually say that it is “a virgin's story”, meaning that no one has read this book before and it is fresh and new. This novel tells of Heathcliff, a young man who has lived his entire life without love. He is full of anger and resentment directed at everyone around him, even his own family.

But, one day he meets Catherine, a young woman who is also living without love and she changes his life forever. The two fall in love and they make each other happy for a time; but, their happiness is only temporary and the passion soon fades. They must learn to live with the pain that came from being unable to be together for so many years.
